FIBER TREATING AGENT FOR RUBBER REINFORCEMENT, REINFORCING FIBER AND REINFORCED MATERIAL OF RUBBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber treating agent for rubber reinforcement excellent in heat resistance, water resistance and flex fatigue resistance by blending a specific rubber latex with a water soluble resorcinol-formaldehyde condensate with a triazinethiol and an oxidizing agent. SOLUTION: A nitrile group-containing highly saturated copolymer rubber latex in an amount of 50-95wt.% solid content is mixed with 2-25wt.% of a water-soluble resorcinol-formaldehyde condensate, 0.5-20wt.% of 1,3,5-triazin-2,4,6- trithiol and 0-10wt.% of chloranil as an oxidizing agent to prepare the objective fiber treating agent for rubber reinforcement. A fiber cord of glass fiber or aramid fiber is provided with 10-30wt.% of the treating agent and then heat- treated to give the objective fiber for rubber reinforcement.
