PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the overinclination of an object to be detected, by detecting the coming-off of a weight by a prescribed size or larger, and suppressing the malfunction of the weight by utilizing the viscous resistance of a liquid. SOLUTION: When an object 1 to be detected is inclined due to an earthquake, etc., and the inclined angleβof the object 1 from the horizontal plane becomes larger than a gradient angleα, a weight 15 rolls on a placing surface 16 due to its own weight and comes off the central part 20 of the surface 16 to the outside. When the weight 15 comes off the central part 20 by a prescribed size, a sliding shaft 26 and an input arm 23 descend, and the switch of a sensor main body 22 is turned on. As a results, the overinclination of the object 1 or an overinclination detector 2 is detected and an airbag device 27 is also actuated. When vibrations are applied to the detector 2 before the device 2 reaches the overinclined state, an inertia force is generated in the weight 15 and the weight 15 is apt to come off the central part 20 of the surface 16 and to roll on the surface while the inclined angleβof the object 1 is smaller than the prescribed value. However, a liquid 29 exists around the weight 15, and the coming off of the weight 15 is suppressed by the viscous resistance of the liquid 29. Therefore, the actual overinclination of the detector 2 can be detected more surely without receiving any influence from the vibrations.
