PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the regulation of the volatilized amount of a chemical by the movement of a heating element by providing a guide means for guiding the heating element and a specific operating means, changing the positions of a liquid sucking wick and the heating element and regulating the volatilization of the chemical. SOLUTION: This thermal volatilizer is capable of rotating an operating knob 22, locating a heater 5 in the topmost position of a small-diameter part 6, reducing the heating quantity of a liquid sucking wick 12 and reducing the volatilized amount of or rotating the operating knob 22 and lowering the position of the heater 5 while rotating the heater 5 and thereby gradually increasing the heating quantity and increasing the volatilized amount. When the heater 5 is brought into contact with an edge of an injecting port 11 and cannot be rotated, the heating quantity and the volatilized amount are maximized. The position of the heater 5 can be regulated by rotating the operating knob 22 to freely regulate the volatilized amount. |
