摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improving method of torsional attenuation of suspension bridge and a suspension bridge capable of being installed in a state to directly contact to a bridge girder without requiring many days and much expenses for experiments at a low cost without requiring any maintenance inspection. SOLUTION: This suspension bridge is constituted of two cables 1, two main towers 4, hangers 2 suspended from the cables 1 and a bridge girder 3 hung to the hangers 2. Both ends of the cables 1 are fixed to anchor sections 5, and the suspension bridge is such a structure as the tensile force of the cables 2 is transferred to the main towers 4 and anchor sections 5. The bridge girder 3 is divided into a plurality of bridge girder blocks 3a having a proper length in the direction of the bridge axis. The adjoining bridge girder blocks 3a are connected to each other with shear type dampers 6. High damping rubber is used for the shear type dampers 6.
