<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably carry paper by switching the position of a paper carrying belt between multicolor image forming time and black image forming time without depending on the accuracy of a control means such as a cam in a tandem image forming device provided with plural juxtaposed image carriers and the paper carrying belt. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with paper carrying belt moving means 7, 8 and 20 capable of positioning and holding the paper carrying belt 3 at a 1st paper carrying position where the belt 3 is rocked with a supporting shaft 8 positioned near a 1st rotating roller 5 as the center of rotation and comes in contact with the respective image carriers 1a to 1d, and a 2nd paper carrying position where it comes into contact with only the image carrier 1d closest to the roller 5, a positioning means 11 positioning and laying the paper carrying belt moving means at the 1st paper carrying position, and a control means (cam) 16 rocking the paper carrying belt moving means to the 2nd paper carrying position by abutting on and pressuring the positioning means 11.</p> |
