BRAKE WEAR MONITORING SYSTEM

A brake wear monitoring system is described herein. The system comprises a plurality of sensor assemblies and a controller. Each sensor assembly is mounted to the brake system of a vehicle and includes a fastening assembly, a sensor and a sensor electronic circuitry. The sensor consists in a Hall effect sensor that detects the longitudinal movement of a sliding rod that moves with the push rod of the brake system. The brake monitoring system of the present invention allows the calculation of brake wear statistics and forecasts.
