<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wavelength conversion laser which can stably generate a wavelength conversion laser beam of high output energy and high quality with high efficiency, and to obtain a method for determining the conditions for the wavelength conversion. SOLUTION: The wavelength conversion laser consists of a fundamental wave laser 101 which generates a fundamental wave laser beam as the fundamental wave for the wavelength conversion, a wavelength conversion element 301 which converts the wavelength of the fundamental wave laser beam, and a beam diameter adjusting means 4 to adjust the beam diameter of the fundamental wave laser beam in the wavelength conversion element. The beam diameter is controlled to satisfy the conditions for the high-efficiency wavelength conversion.</p> |
