A treatment protocol (I) for an implantable device includes steps where the number and/or duration of the steps is selected by a user and group(s) of step(s) where the number, duration and/or repetition of the steps is selected by the user. Independent claims are included for the following: (a) a therapeutic treatment device includes a computer for performing (I); (b) computer program for use by (a) to perform (I); (c) (I) where the steps are injections; and (d) (I) where the steps are electrical stimulations.
