PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strictly execute the balance correcting for the purpose of preventing the vibration of a rotary polyhedral mirror. SOLUTION: The rotary polyhedral mirror 1 rotates integrally with a flange member 7, a rotor 9 and a shaft 2. The rotary polyhedral mirror 1 and the rotor 9 are provided with first to third balance correcting grooves 11 to 13 in order to correct the balance over the entire part of the rotating bodies. A third balance correcting groove 13 is disposed in the centroid position G in an axial direction of the rotating bodies. The unbalance in the circumferential direction which cannot be corrected by the balance correcting using the first and second balance correcting grooves 11 and 12 is eliminated by adding a balance eight to the third balance correcting groove 13 existing in the centroid position G, by which the accuracy of the balance correcting is improved. |
