<p>The invention concerns a gas sensor, comprising: a sensor (40) including a metal oxide sensitive layer designed to be contacted with a gas mixture containing said gas; heating means (42) for cyclically varying the temperature of said layer between a lower equilibrium level and an upper equilibrium level; measuring means (44) for obtaining several values of the layer resistance during the heating cycle; and an electronic unit (46) for determining the concentration of said gas in the mixture on the basis of said values. The measuring means (44) are arranged so as to collect, during each cycle, resistance values of the sensitive layer at two temperatures intermediate between the two equilibrium temperatures, once when the temperature is increasing and once when it is decreasing.</p> |
