PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process for modified cellulosic regenerated fiber that can reduce the swelling with water, one of the defects in the cellulosic regenerated fiber, gives excellent fabric hand with fibrillation suppressed. SOLUTION: After a crosslinking agent bearing two or more reactive functional groups in the molecule is added to the cellulose viscose solution, the resultant viscose solution is extruded into the coagulation and regeneration bath, then brought into contact with an aqueous solution of a crosslinking agent bearing two or more reactive functional groups whereby the cross-linking treatment is repeated. In this case, an epoxy crosslinking agent may be used as a crosslinking agent. The amount of the crosslinking agent to be added to the cellulose viscose is 1-15 wt.% based on the cellulose in the viscose solution and the concentration of the crosslinking agent in the aqueous solution on the repeated crosslinking treatment is 1-10 wt.%. |
