TORQUE CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A torque converter is provided to automatically control the torque converter by being interlocked with actuation of an accelerator and to minimize generation of noise. CONSTITUTION: A torque converter comprises a rotation housing(1); a first gear unit(2) composed of main and auxiliary gears(G1,G2) and mounted on a first gear chamber; a second gear unit(3) composed of the main and auxiliary gears and mounted on a second gear chamber(131); a rotation spool(4) mounted on a spool install hole(121) to control current of fluid contained the first and second gear chambers; and a helical gear unit(5) composed of main and auxiliary helical gears(H1,H2). The rotation housing comprises a first housing(11) forming the first gear chamber by being connected to an engine output shaft(E1); a second housing(12) installing the spool install hole; a third housing(13) forming fluid supplying or discharging holes(IH,OH) and containing a second gear chamber(131) and a helical gear chamber(132); and a forth housing(14) forming the fluid supplying or discharging holes to engage with a main pump of a vehicle. The main helical gear is connected to an input shaft(T1) of a transmission and the auxiliary helical gear is connected through the auxiliary gear and a connect shaft.
