PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a contents managing server to automatically generate a home page small in data amount even by utilizing materials such as images large in data amount. SOLUTION: Data expressing the original image of the large data amount are stored in a database 3 of a contents managing server 2. In the contents managing server 2, the thumbnail image of the original image is generated and a home page is prepared while utilizing that thumbnail image. Even when the user of a client computer 1 does not prepare the home page containing the thumbnail image, the home page can be generated in the contents managing server 2. A file expressing the generated home page is stored on a hard disk 5 of a home page server 4. By accessing the home page server 4, the home page including the thumbnail image can be viewed.
