PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stockings improved in durability and productivity. SOLUTION: The stockings are characterized in that a polyamide filament yarn contains (1) 0.01-1 wt.% of a magnesium compound and has (2) 2.8-3.5 relative viscosity in a 98% sulfuric acid, (3) >=9 cN/dT product of strength and elongation [wherein, the product of the strength and elongation = strength×(1 + elongation×0.01)], (4) 8-18 dT yarn fineness and (5) 1.0-3.0 single filament fineness in the stockings in which leg parts are knitted only with covered elastic yarns prepared by winding the polyamide filament yarn around elastic fibers as a core yarn. The stockings further have (6) >=45 N bursting strength, (7) 24 class fretting strength and (8) >=6.5 cN/dT product of strength and elongation of the polyamide fibers obtained by disassembling the product.
