PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dish washer having sufficient resistance causing a hooking force applied in a washing tank. SOLUTION: This dish washer comprises a cabinet and a washing system which is slidably fitted in the cabinet so as to be drawn out of the cabinet in the horizontal direction when in use. The washing system comprises an open upper washing chamber which accommodates articles to be washed, circulates cleaning liquid in the washing chamber, and has an upper peripheral edge rim, a means for introducing and circulating the washing liquid into the washing chamber, a means for discharging the washing liquid from the washing chamber, and a washing chamber sealing member fitted to an upper surface of the cabinet which covers an open upper part of the washing chamber when the washing chamber is drawn into the cabinet. A peripheral edge means which cooperates with the upper surface of the washing chamber in the vicinity of the rim is provided so as to prevent the washing liquid from leaking from the washing chamber when the washing chamber is retracted into the cabinet, and the sealing member is held on the upper surface of the cabinet at a substantially unchangeable position in the perpendicular direction.
