PURPOSE: A washing machine and a method for controlling the washing machine are provided to obtain useful information of washing stroke and used electric power of the washing machine by displaying detailed information relative to the washing machine. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine includes a key input part(120), a memory(140), a display(130), a communication part(150), and a system micom(160). The key input part allows a user to select washing order, statistical service order of washer use and statistical list of washer use. The memory stores washer related information, statistical service list of washer use and information of statistical service of washer use. The display displays statistical service list of washer use stored in the memory and detailed information of statistical service list of washer use selected by the user. The communication part is connected with an external communication line for wire/wireless data communication. The system micom monitors whether or not there is changed washer related information, controls to renew the washer related information stored in the memory into the changed washer related information to display the changed information on the display. |
