PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make reliably discriminable each point for automatically starting a blind spot monitor for vehicle even afterward at a spot at which it was manually actuated even if memory elements vary spot by spot. SOLUTION: When a hand-operated switch 14 is operated for actuating the blind spot monitor 1, an automatic start controller 10 reads information on the spot from a navigation system 2. When a vehicle is located on a road with a link number, location information including the link number is stored as actuation information. When the vehicle is located on a road with no link numbers, location information not including the actuation information is stored. In traveling afterward, the location information detected by the navigation system 2 is collated with the actuation information, and the blind spot monitor 1 is automatically actuated at the point at which it was manually operated in the past. It is possible to reliably and automatically actuate the blind spot monitor 1 even at a parking lot with no link numbers on one hand and obtain high accuracy in the actuation information including the link numbers on the other. |
