PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber lighting system in which light quantity of lighting irradiated to an irradiated plane through a light guide will not change substan tially, even if a light source unit is exchanged. SOLUTION: The fiber lighting system is provided with a light source unit (1) for supplying lighting light condenced on a predetermined position, and a light guide (4) whose incident end is positioned near the predetermined position, and illuminates an object (5) by emitted light from an emission end (4b) of the light guide. It is provided with a diffusion element (3) which is placed close to the incidence end (4a) of the light guide, diffuses the incident light from the light source unit substantially with high transmittance and guides it to the incidence end of the light guide.
