PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for photogravure plate processing in which merit of an FM screen is enjoyed even in photogravure printing by improving an FM screening program in relation to dot conversion of a shadow part. SOLUTION: There is provided the method for photogravure plate processing in which a standard square dot is made to be a dimension by which ink is well transferred from a cell to randomly generate the standard square dot and the standard square dots are gradually made to be crowded in cope with shading gradation and they are sometimes generated by sticking together a plurality of the dots to perform the dot conversion of images at highlight parts and intermediate tone parts, and on the dot conversion of the image of shadow parts, the dot conversion is performed in such a way that profile dots with shapes in which the dots being smaller than the standard square dot are stuck adjacent to the standard square dots are generated and non-image areas under a condition where they are randomly bent into a green caterpillar-like shape and are tangled are gradually narrowed in their widths in cope with the shading gradation and based on digital information obtained by the FM screening, processing the plate is performed. |
