PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a motor component from being deformed due to the press- insertion of a hub in a spindle motor for a dynamic-pressure bearing of which the hub is press-inserted in and fixed to a shaft equipped with a flange. SOLUTION: The spindle motor for the dynamic-pressure bearing is provided with: a motor frame 9 having a through-hole at its center and a protruded cylinder section coaxial with the through-hole; the dynamic-pressure bearing that includes a sleeve 4 which comprises a lower cylinder section internally fitted in the through-hole and an upper cylinder section internally fitted to the protruded cylinder section and in which a small-diameter cylinder chamber and a large-diameter cylinder chamber are formed, a thrust ring section 3 and a shaft section 2, and the shaft 1 equipped with the flange; the hub 6 press- inserted in the upper part of the shaft 1 equipped with the flange by a press- insertion through-hole formed at the center of the bearing; a rotor magnet mounted to the hub 6; and a stator coil 8 mounted on the external peripheral surface of the protruded cylinder section of the motor frame 9.
