<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a fluorescent substance which is readily permeated through a membrane, is prepared as a fusion protein and has high sensitivity and to provide a method for producing the fluorescent marker. <P>SOLUTION: The method for screening the fluorescent substance comprises (1) dividing a gene molecule group encoding a peptide to become a ligand in forming a chelate with a rare earth element ion by 1-several tens of gene molecules, (2) carrying out PCR in mutually separated containers to amplify the genes, (3) then dividing contents in each container, leaving a part of the divided contents, (4) carrying out a cell-free protein synthesis in the container storing the other part, adding the rare earth element ion to the container, assaying fluorescence of the contents in the container, selecting the contents in the container, having higher fluorescence intensity, (5) then selecting the contents in the container before the cell-free protein synthesis of the selected contents in the container from the divided contents of the process (3) and analyzing a gene base sequence and (6) repeating the processes (2)-(5) until the gene becomes one kind. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
