<p>The system consists of a pair of trough-shaped receiving elements (16) located in line with an opening (14) in the aircraft fuselage and inside its hold (12). The receiving elements are equipped with conveyor belts and are able to pivot about their lengthwise axes to feed cylindrical articles of baggage (22) delivered by a ramp conveyor (24) to either side of the hold and onto lower and upper decks, stacking them in the available space.</p> |
