<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for and a device for creating a model number of a solar cell module array capable of specifying a desired model in a plurality of models. <P>SOLUTION: Module information is acquired where it contains information on the shape, number, and position of modules 11 to be arranged. On the basis of the acquired module information, the number of modules 11 and the shape and position of the modules 11 to be predetermined for each region are coded each as one portion of model for each predetermined region.
