<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent / half-reflection electrode substrate equipped with a transparent conductive layer which hardly produces any residue or the like resulting from etching and further which is resistant to an etchant for a metal reflection layer (a metal layer), a method for manufacturing the same, and a liquid crystal display device using the translucent / half-reflection electrode substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The translucent / half-reflection electrode substrate is equipped with the transparent substrate, the transparent conductive layer disposed on the transparent substrate and containing indium oxide as a main component, and further, one or more kinds of oxides selected from tungsten oxide, molybdenum oxide and niobium oxide, and the metal reflection layer disposed on the transparent substrate, reflecting external light and further electrically connected to the transparent conductive layer. The method for manufacturing the translucent / half-reflection electrode substrate and the liquid crystal display device using the translucent / half-reflection electrode substrate are also disclosed.
