<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral coil in which eddy current loss is less, cost can be reduced, and both demand of coil outer diameter and demand of numbers of winding can be satisfied easily, and furthermore, superior coil shape holding characteristic can be obtained. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A flat tubular braided litz wire (10) is spirally wound around in which the litz wires are made as the basic unit electric wire of braid wherein strands of a self-fusing insulated electric wire are twisted so that the long sides of the cross-sectional face of the braided wires mutually face by pinching an insulated thin plate (20) between respective turns while keeping the long sides in parallel with the winding axis, and mutual strands and the braided litz wire (10) with the insulated thin plate (20) are heat-fused. The eddy current loss can be reduced. The tubular braided wire which is inexpensively obtained can be transformed and used. Both of coil outer diameter conditions and conditions of the number of winding can be satisfied. Coil shape can be retained integrally. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
