<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a double-sided display function. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a first substrate (100) having a plurality of first transmissive parts which transmit incident light of a first direction and a plurality of first reflective parts which reflect incident light of a second direction and is arranged among the plurality of first transmissive parts, and a second substrate (110) having a plurality of second reflective parts which reflect incident light of the first direction having been transmitted through the first transmissive parts and which are placed opposite to the first transmissive parts and a plurality of second transmissive parts which are placed opposite to the first reflective parts, are arranged among the second reflective parts and transmit incident light of the second direction having been reflected with the first reflective parts. The first light made incident from the first direction is transmitted through the first transmissive parts, then is reflected with the second reflective parts and is outputted from the rear face of a thin film transistor array.
