IMAGING APPARATUS WITH EMPHASIZED CONTRAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with emphasized contrast by applying luminance correction to each of a plurality of objects with different luminance so as to obtain excellent images.

SOLUTION: A prescribed amount data read section 12a of the imaging apparatus 1 reads data of one line of an image, a median position detection section 12d obtains a median luminance value from a maximum point luminance value detected by a maximum point detection section 12b and a minimum point luminance value detected by a minimum point detection section 12c, a bandwidth is calculated from the maximum point luminance value and the minimum point luminance value, a gamma coefficient for emphasizing the contrast is calculated by each block in a pixel direction of at least one-line data on the basis of the median point luminance value and the bandwidth to obtain a contrast emphasis correction coefficient.
