<p>The component parts of insulating matl. in gas blast high voltage circuit breakers are heavily stressed, esp. if exposed to the light arc generated during switching off. The insulating part consists of a modified tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene copolymer, contg. >=60% of tetrafluoreethylene, pref. 75%. The copolymer may use corundum as a filler and may be strengthened by fibres, pref. of glass. Vacuum casting may be used for final shaping of the respective component. Alternately the component may be extruded.</p> |
