An elongate plate (5) is screwed to the window fixed frame and has a curved projection plate (7) with an interior curved housing (9), all curved lines in the pivot having a common centre of curvature. A moving plate (17) is fixed to the moving window frame and has circular rib projection (18) sliding in a groove (15) of an intermediate curved piece (12), the latter being housed in a recess (9) in the fixed plate. At half window opening the arcuate rib has moved as far as it can in the curved groove. To open it further, the intermediate piece must rotate in the housing. Both this and the first rotation are braked by small leaf springs.
