PURPOSE:To reproduce, as stereophonic signals, signal components except specific signal components included in two signals having the stereophonic relation, by reducing those specific signal components by a stereophonic reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:Left and right input signals L and R are passed through sum and difference signal generating circuits 8 and 9 to obtain signal L+R and signal L- R. The signal L+R, when switch circuit 10 is turned on, is applied direct to matrix circuit 12 for addition and subtraction, so that it will be converted into the left and right signals covering the whole frequency range. When circuit 10 is turned off, on the other hand, the sum signal of circuit 8 is applied to circuit 12 via filter circuit 11 which reduces a specific frequency band. Consequently, a circuit which reduces the intermediate frequency range is used as circuit 11, so that the output of circuit 12 will completely be separated into the left and right signals in the low and high frequency ranges. |
