PURPOSE:To provide an exchange apparatus for magazines storing lead frames therein which can eliminate loss time of a magazine exchange time by exchanging magazines during an magazine descending operation in an ordinary lead frame feeding operation. CONSTITUTION:Magazines 15A, 15B, 15C storing lead frames therein are stacked on a magazine holder 16. The lowermost lead frame in the magazine 15A is located at a feeding and storing path level 32 and is fed out by operation of a frame pusher not illustrated. Every time a lead frame is fed out, the magazine holder 16 descends by one pitch P. When the uppermost lead frame in the magazine 15A is fed out, the magazine holder 16 descends by a distance l so that the lowermost lead frame in the magazine 15B is located at the feeding and storing path level 32 to be fed out. |
