PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being sagged and caught in a holder part of a VTR or being wound around a pinch roller , and also the tape from being damaged due to application of an immoderate tension, by incorporating a detaining mechanism in a cassette adapter. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette is set to the adapter, a detaining member 25 is engaged with a gear part 11a of a gear 10 by a spring 30 and is detained. At this time, a reel 6 of the cassette is detained through a gear 9 and a gear part of a hub 8, and the detaining member 25 is deflected left from a face including the shaft of the gear 10 and a shft 33, and therefore, the reel 6 can be rotated clockwise pushing aside the detaining member 25 but cannot be rotated in the reverse direction. Thus, the sag of a tape 7 is prevented. When a lever 4 is moved, a sector 32 is pressed downward through its pin 32a by a com part 37, and the detaining member 25 is turned counterclockwise and is disengaged from the gear part 11a, and thus, detention is released. Consequently, the tape 7 is led out without applying an immoderate force. |
