PURPOSE:To prevent toner powder from sticking electrostatically charging wires by bending a vibrator so that when the vibrator is applied with a DC bias voltage, a vibration transmission member contacts the charging wire, and allowing the vibrator to vibrates by the application of an AC voltage. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatically charging device case 20 made of aluminum is in a thin and long box shape and has an opening atop. Two charging wires 21A and 21B of tungsten applied with a high voltage are extended lengtwise on the opening surface facing the photosensitive drum 1 at a specific interval. A vibration unit 30 for the charging device of an electrostatic type copying machine is fixed to at least one end part of the charging device case 20. This vibration unit 30 is constituted by fitting the vibrator 32 in a unit case 30 made of insulating resin nearly in parallel to the case bottom part. |
