<p>PURPOSE:To prepare the titled substance useful as a synthetic perfumery, in one step, by the deamination of hydroxygeranyl dialkylamine or hydroxyneryl dialkylamine using a palladium-phosphine-cation complex as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Myrcenol is prepared by the deamination of hydroxygeranyl dialkylamine or hydroxyneryl dialkylamine using a complex of formula I [the sign of formula II is eta-allyl; L is tertiary phosphine (e.g. unidentate ligand of formula III, bidentate ligand of formula IV, etc.; R1-R3 are lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, etc.; R is lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc.; Y is -(CH2)2-, etc.); X is counter anion (e.g., ClO4<->, BF6<->, PF6<-> etc.)] as a catalyst. The molar ratio of the catalyst to the raw material is 1/400-1/2,000, and the reaction is carried out under heating at 100-150 deg.C and 1-50mm.Hg. USE:Raw material of synthetic perfume.</p> |
