PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prediction mode encoding method for effectively reducing an additional encoding amount resulted from increase of the number of intra prediction modes.SOLUTION: An intra prediction encoding method comprises: encoding an intra prediction mode of a current prediction unit using intra prediction information and intra prediction modes of prediction units adjacent to the current prediction unit; generating reference pixels using one or more available reference pixels if there exist unavailable reference pixels of the current prediction unit; filtering the reference pixels on the basis of the encoded intra prediction mode; generating a prediction block using the encoded intra prediction mode and the reference pixels; generating a residual signal from a difference between an input image block and the prediction block; transforming and quantizing the residual signal; and then scanning and entropy-coding it using a scan pattern determined according to the intra prediction mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
