<p>The invention relates to a hosiery article with or without a joining gusset, such as socks, stockings, tights or other similar articles produced on needle-equipped circular knitting looms permitting production of well-known embroidery designs, such as raised satin stitch, broderie anglaise, button hole stitch and Madeira, Richelieu and Colbert work. The article comprises, at any point thereon which is concealed by the upper of the footwear, preferably on the sole, an identification mark produced by embroidering through the knitting in order to be indelible, non-deteriorating and invisible during use, and the identification mark is a trademark, verbal or pictorial or, alternatively, a logo, and it is produced by an electronic knitting operation resulting from a computer program read by a computer which controls the knitting and embroidering loom.</p> |
