<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide xanthone derivatives having weak side effects and having an excellent collagen-increasing action, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide food preparations and cosmetics comprising the derivatives. <P>SOLUTION: The xanthone derivative having the collagen-increasing action is a compound obtained by binding xanthone with one selected from palmitic acid, para-coumaric acid, sinapic acid, xanthone carboxylic acid, trans-cinnamic acid and coffeic acid. The method for producing the xanthone derivative comprises a process of fermenting the crushed product of Garcinia mangostana and soybeans with Bacillus natto and extracting the fermentation product with a vegetable oil, or a process of extracting the crushed product of Garcinia mangostana with liquefied carbon dioxide. The cosmetic and the food preparation each is a composition comprising the xanthone derivative, a vegetable oil containing a chrysanthemum flower extract and a vegetable oil containing a pine leaf extract. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
