The invention relates to a structure 1 for supporting a sign 2. The problem to be solved consists in creating a structure which is robust while at the same time being simply constructed, light and easy to install. The structure is characterised in that it comprises a crosspiece 3 consisting of a hollow metal section, a post 4 fitted flush between two brackets 5, 6 formed on a first wall 3a of the crosspiece, and a series of supporting arms 7 in the form of bars fitted flush between two brackets 8, 9 formed on a second wall 3b of the crosspiece.
