PURPOSE:To easily extract a mold from a double-U bulb, stabilize the shape of the double-U bulb, and allow mass production by using a round bar-like mold to bend a U-bulb into a double-U shape. CONSTITUTION:A round bar-like mold 4 with a predetermined diameter is brought into contact with the periphery of the near center portion of two straight line sections (b), (b) locally heated and softened by a burner. Next, the straight line sections (b), (b) are bent into a U shape using the mold 4 as a fulcrum to obtain a double-U bulb 5. After these bent sections (c), (c) are somewhat cooled and hardened, the mold 4 is extracted from the bent sections (c), (c) in the axial direction to form a fluorescent lamp. |
