<p>Air intake vane assembly with variable-pitch vanes in which the vanes are held in an overhanging (cantilever) manner by their tip pivot. At least one of the rings 13 or 11 has a spherical zone 17, 23 whose centre is defined by the intersection of the axes YY' passing through the tip and route pivots 7, 8 of the vanes and the axis XX' of the jet engine, the outer and/or inner edges 19/20 of the vane blades having a curvature which is substantially equal to that of the spherical zone. The tip pivot 7 consists of a circular plate 30 and is held in the bearing by a ring 37 of U-cross-section interacting with the edges of a boss 25 in which there is provided a bore 26 forming a bearing.
