ISOSTATIC PRESS FOR MAKING COMPACTS OF POWDERED CERAMICC MATERIAL

In an isostatic press for making compacts of powdered ceramic material, a tool part has, on a sliding head, twice as many mould needles as mould parts which, together with the mould needles, limit moulds for making the compacts. The distance between the mould needles on the sliding head is half the distance between the mould parts. The sliding head is moved back and forth in phases in the axial direction of the row of mould pots by the distance between the mould needles, so that at the same time as the produced compacts are lifted out and deposited on conveyor belts the other mould needles are moved into the mould pots.
