Wire recovery from used tyres - uses deep cooling and hammering to liberate wire for size sorting

A process for recovery of wire from tyres has car or truck tyres cut into pieces according to wire length required or whole, cooled to -70 deg.C, or less and hammered. The result is passed over a magnetic separator to recover the wire which is then sorted for length. Pref. wire may be sorted into a variety of length grades and any pieces which are over size can be shortened and resorted. Some wire pieces will pref. remain with tyre material adhered. These can pref. be liberated. ADVANTAGE - Inexpensive recovery of metal wire.
