PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a load.SOLUTION: A load detection device comprises a contact body 11 on which a pressing load acts by being pressed, a load detection body 12 disposed so as to face the contact body 11 on the side in the contact body 11 pressing direction and detecting the pressing load acting on the contact body 11 as a divided pressing load obtained by dividing the pressing load for each region, a processing unit 15 for calculating the direction of the pressing load acting on the contact body 11 by compositing the divided pressing loads, and a frame body 14 for covering a peripheral edge 11bB of the contact body 11 in the state of exposing a central part 11bA of the contact body 11 to the opposite side to the load detection body 12 and restricting pressure on the peripheral edge 11bB of the contact body 11.
