Bird of prey identification system for protecting domestic poultry

The identification system uses measuring and control devices with optical and/or acoustic sensors, coupled to an evaluation stage which responds to a positive identification of a bird of prey to activate a scare system. The sensors are installed in the vicinity of the poultry coop, their signals evaluated by the evaluation stage to determine the direction and velocity of the identified bird of prey and used to activate a siren, a noise generator, or a smoke bomb. The sensors may be provided by video camera, linked to an image evaluation device.
