The magnetic valve consists of an electrical coil and disc-shaped armature in a metallic housing, the valve closure parts being retained by deformation of the upper rim flange of the housing, made by a series of deep-drawing processes. The coil housing (11) is drawn into a cylindrical body with a tubular, central intrusion (12) and a thinner flange section (13) and groove (16). The magnet coil (19) is held in place by a screw (21) and injected plastics material. A spring-loaded (27) armature (25) is retained by a disc spring (33) fitted into the flange and groove. The valve top section is installed above the spring (33) and retained by peening over the flange (13).
