The OSD captioning method for the LDP system comprises the steps of storing a translation data to a laser disk, generating an audio data and a video frame data from the laser disk, transforming the translation data from the laser disk to an OSD caption data with the audio data and the video frame data, and matching the caption data to the corresponding video frame for displaying a caption and a video frame together, thereby simplifying the device.
