PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boom attaching/detaching device and an attaching/detaching method which can a boom to be easily attached to and detached from an upper turning body without requiring a crane for lifting the boom.SOLUTION: A boom attaching/detaching device 31, which attaches and detaches a boom to be attached to and from an upper turning body so as to rise and fall, comprises: a base frame 32 which is placed on a rear deck of a trailer 27 that transports a boom (an expansion boom 15); a fixing part 33 for the boom provided on the base frame; an expansion boom 34 provided in a rear-deck width direction in a longitudinal direction at the front and back of the base frame; and a jack cylinder 35 provided at a tip part of the expansion beam. The expansion beam has strokes with which the jack cylinder is stored in the rear-deck width when shortening the boom and the jack cylinder is protruded to the outside of the rear deck when expanding the boom. The jack cylinder has strokes with which a grounding part at a lower end thereof is risen above a lower face of the base frame when shortening the boom, and the base frame is risen above the rear deck when expanding the boom.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
