Disclosed herein are dermal delivery compositions. Aspects of the dermal delivery compositions include the presence of active agent-calcium phosphate particle complexes, where these complexes include uniform, rigid, spherical nanoporous calcium phosphate particles wherein at least 90% of the particles have a particle diameter of 2 microns or less wherein the particles are complexed with one or more active agents. Also disclosed are methods of using the compositions in active agent delivery applications. |
