A kitchen air extraction hood, comprising front and rear walls (5,4), side walls (3) and roof (6), is internally divided by lateral wall (7) into a main chamber (9), open downwards to receive cooking fumes, and a rear chamber (8) into which air is drawn from chamber (9) through a filter mounted in wall (7). An outlet duct (11) is formed in the top rear corner of the hood by roof (6), the upper parts of walls (4,7) and a horizontal dividing wall (13) with apertures (14) through which air flows from chamber (8) into duct (11). At least one side wall (3) has an opening by which duct (11) can be connected to the corresponding ducts in other hoods and to a central extractor fan.
