PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container forming attachment which can sufficiently press a paper container. SOLUTION: When a paper container having a polygonal body part is formed by filling a liquid 7 in a cylindrical body 4 after forming the cylindrical body 4 by longitudinally sealing a web-form packaging material, the cylindrical body 4 in which the liquid 7 is filled is pinched from both sides, and on the side walls of the cylindrical body 4, corner parts 4a in the vertical direction are formed by a pair of forming preparatory fittings 9. In this case, this protruding shape paper container forming attachment 10 is attached on the confronted surfaces 9c being confronted each other on the internal surfaces 9b of the pair of forming preparatory fittings 9, and presses the side wall of the cylindrical body 4 inward so that the pressed surface 10c may expand inward, and the expanded pressed surface 10c is formed of a spherical surface wherein the center is the peak, and which gradually becomes lower as becoming closer to the top and the bottom, and both sides in the lateral direction.
